The Garage
The Transportation Department has expanded their well-equipped garage. The 8 mechanics are responsible for over 120 buses and more than 160 district cars and trucks. All mechanics must be certified bus drivers, to help cover all routes when needed.

Consumable supplies are used by many of the drivers and mechanics. The diesel fuel alone adds up to the more than 216,000 gallons per year; gasoline useage is greater than 56,000 gallons usually. The amount of paper towels and window washer fluid would probably stock a large filling station.

The parking lot for both buses and employees' vehicles have undergone complete renovation. This project included redesigning and enlarging, paving, and restriping.
