Dear Applicant,
updated 8/18/03
Thank you for your interest in a coaching position with
Amphitheater Public Schools! Please review the following requirements.
Consideration for employment requires that a completed application and
supporting documents be submitted to the Human Resources Office.
-
Application: The coaching application form must be
fully completed, even if a resume is submitted. The application should
include previous places of employment with addresses, contact names, and
telephone numbers, as references will be checked.
-
CPR/First Aid: Proof of current CPR and First Aid
certification is required for paid coaches. Paid coaches are required to
maintain current certification. Volunteer coaches are not required to maintain
CPR and First Aid certification. However, volunteers who do not present
and maintain current CPR and First Aid certification may only coach under
the direct supervision of a paid employee certified in these areas.
-
Fingerprints: Fingerprints are required only after
applicants are notified of a recommendation for hire for a coaching position.
Once a recommendation for hire has been made, all school employees must
be fingerprinted at one of our designated fingerprinting agencies, including
Tucson Police, Marana Police or the Pima County Sheriff's Department. These
departments currently charge a fee of $5.00-$6.00.After
fingerprinting, fingerprints should be returned to the Human Resources
office, along with a check or money order payable to Amphitheater Public
Schools, for the $24.00 processing fee (changes
to $29.00 on 10/1/03). The fingerprints will be sent to the Department
of Public Safety (DPS) for processing and results.
-
Volunteers who are not parents of current Amphitheater students,
must also be fingerprinted. However, individual schools will pay the district’s
processing fee.
-
Fingerprints are waived for applicants who hold a valid Arizona
teaching certificate or for parents of current Amphitheater Public School
students.
-
Other: A current driver’s license (or other approved
picture identification) and Social Security card must be provided to Human
Resources for the processing of an affidavit and for Payroll purposes.
Copies of these items will be made for the personnel file. Head Coaches,
for the high school level, must also provide a copy of a current Arizona
teaching certificate.
Recommended candidates may not start work or receive compensation
for assignments prior to full completion of the above requirements and
notification by the Human Resources Department of the authorized
start date.
Please contact the Human Resources Office at 701 W. Wetmore,
696-5102, if you have any questions.
I hereby acknowledge that I have read the above requirements
for employment and compensation from Amphitheater Public Schools and agree
to abide by them should I be recommended for coaching.
