Payroll Department
It is the responsibility of the payroll department to pay all district employees on a biweekly basis. This includes coaches, early retirees and substitutes. Employees receive their paycheck at their work site. Paychecks for early retirees and substitutes are mailed one day prior to payday.

Payday is every other Friday unless otherwise noted because of district holidays. Paychecks cover a two week period ending the previous Saturday. Employees may receive their pay in the form of a check (warrant) issued by the Pima County Treasurer's office or direct deposit to a financial institution.

Three methods of salary payment are offered to academic year, career employees. These forms are available at the time of employment or in the Payroll Department. The method of salary payment is valid for one school year. At the end of the school year the method of pay can be changed or remain the same.

Certified employees are paid a contract amount based on the current salary schedule provided to the payroll department. Classified employees are paid an hourly rate based on the current salary schedule provided to the payroll and timesheets that are submitted by each work site. Substitutes are paid based the current daily rate/hourly rate for a substitute and timesheets submitted by each work site.
