CERTIFIED SUBSTITUTES (K-12 Teachers)
Salary for the First 20 Days of Substituting:
- Full Day - $75.00/day
- Half Day - $37.50/day
Salary after Completing 20 Days of Substituting:
- Full Day - $100.00/day
- Half Day - $50.00/day
To be eligible to be a substitute teacher, you must submit the following:- Substitute Application
- Copy of Arizona Teaching or Substitute Certificate
- Three (3) letters of Recommendation
- Resume*
*Resumes will not be accepted in lieu of applications
Classified Substitutes (Support Staff)
School Nurses - A current RN License and CPR card are required.- Full Day - $75.00/day
- Half Day - $37.50/day
Health Assistants - A current CPR and standard First Aid cards are required.
Campus Monitors
Clerical Staff
Computer Aides
Crossing Guards
Food Service Workers
Groundskeepers
Instructional Aides
Security/Behavior Intervention
Special Education Assistants
Custodians - 8 hour shifts between 12:00 p.m. and 12:00 a.m.
To be eligible to be a support staff substitute, you must submit the following:- Substitute Application
- Fingerprints must be taken and submitted to the Human Resources office. The cost for processing the fingerprint card is $29.00 and must be paid at the time the fingerprint card is submitted.
- Resumes are not required, but are highly encouraged.
Being a substitute with Amphitheater Public Schools in no way constitutes an assurance of a minimum number of assignments. Employment is strictly an on-call, as needed basis.
