Introduction

Teachers:
As teachers, we are very concerned about having all of our students succeed and preparing them for future AIMS testing. All of us have students that require language support whether they are designated ELL or not.

You will search the internet for ELL content-area strategies and record your findings on an organizer. We hope you will use these ELL strategies to modify a lesson you are planning to teach.

Administrators and Non-Teaching Professionals:
Choose one of the following scenarios:
1) You have volunteered to teach a content-area classroom lesson at your site. You are aware that you need to modify your lesson based on the language needs of the class. You will search the internet for ELL content-area strategies and record your findings.
2) You are basing your work on a presentation or workshop you are planning to deliver to a diverse audience. You will search the internet for ELL content-area strategies and record your findings to present to your SEI 108 class. You will use the ELL strategies you find to modify a presentation or workshop you are planning to give.
