| Web Evaluation |
This is an introductory lesson on the importance of analyzing and evaluating various websites. First we look at a bogus “factual” website and three different Martin Luther King Websites. As each site is viewed, students discuss how all of the websites appear to look official. Using the web-evaluation criteria worksheet, students analyze each of websites. At this point students begin to realize that not all websites are what they propose. One of the MLK sites is actually linked to a white supremacist website. We were unable to access this site at school because of the filter, but it gives one the opportunity to discuss inappropriate sites too. After the discussion and group evaluation of these websites, students then select a topic of familiarity and evaluate three websites on that topic. Using familiar topics gives students an opportunity to practice deeper analysis of the website evaluation process. Meets Arizona State Technology Standard 5. |
| Evaluating Internet Sites |
Students will discover that not all Internet sites have correct information. Meets Arizona State Technology Standard 5. |

Students will present their information using a program called PhotoStory 3. Meets Arizona State Technology Standard 3. |
| Blogging in Second Grade |
