Patricia Clymer has been an Arizona resident since 1975, and a District resident since 1992. She has a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education from Virginia Commonwealth University located in Richmond, Virginia. Patricia taught for fifteen years before her children were born, with thirteen of those years being in the public schools.
Patricia is a parent of two students in the Amphitheater Schools and an active classroom and school volunteer in the District. She volunteers at her daughters' school as well as in a kindergarten classroom at Prince Elementary School. Patricia oversees a project at her church involving service projects for Prince Elementary. She has also served as president of the Harelson PTO.
Patricia is particularly interested in being an advocate for students, serving as a sounding board for parents and teachers and promoting volunteerism in the District. Patricia is interested in legislative action and reform to achieve adequate state funding for public education.
