WELCOME |
| The Amphitheater Middle School (AMS) Athletics program is determined to help students grow; as individuals and team members, academically as well as athletically. By working with various AMS afterschool programs our student athletes are learning the importance of exercising their minds, as well as their bodies. AMS and the Amphitheater Interscholastics Department believe in the following philosophy: "The Northwest League has been organized to provide an educationally sound, competitive, athletic participation opportunity for middle-level students. This opportunity includes activities that are likely to be pursued by boys and girls for their personal enjoyment, both now and in the future. Emphasis will be put on participation rather than 'winning at all cost'." |
3rd QUARTER SPORTS IN JANUARY |
| At this time we are planning on Boys Soccer and Girls Basketball As a condition of interscholastic participation each student and their parent/guardian MUST read and agree to the rules and regulations in the Participation Packet (includes the Physical Form) as well as completing and signing all included forms. STUDENT PHYSICALS |
| All participating athletes need to have an updated (after March 1, 2011) physical turned in to the office before they step on the field. Yes, you need a new physical every year. If you do not have a family doctor, this link will take you to a partial list of locations and information regarding physicals. (Thanks, Coronado!) | Pictures for all teams will be during the quarter. Date to be determined. All athletes are required to attend, in their clean uniform. See your coach to obtain packets for ordering your pictures. If you have questions, please email or call Lisa Powell at 696-6252 |
