LUNCH TODAY: Pizza w/salad, or hamburger w/oven fries, or sloppy joe w/oven fries, salad w/spinach, applesauce
FRIDAY’S LUNCH: Pizza w/salad, or bacon cheeseburger, or spicy chicken sandwich, carrots/celery sticks, fresh fruit, vanilla pudding
CLUBS
• THERE WILL BE AN FCCLA MEETING in Room H-301 during tutorial on Wednesday, August 27. We will be discussing Fall Leadership Conference and CCAP.
• ALL SENIOR MEMBERS OF NATIONAL HONORS SOCIETY: Our first meeting of the school year will be today, August 21, during second lunch and the tutorial period. We will meet in the Lecture Hall.
• THE FANTASY CLUB will have its first meeting of the semester today, August 21, during tutorial in Mrs. Sillman's Room G-701.
• MODEL UNITED NATIONS: Come see the new face of Model United Nations! It’s not just about the conference anymore. We’re going Global! First meeting is today, August 21, in Room G-706 during tutorial. See you there!
STUDENTS
• ALL STUDENTS are reminded that they are not permitted in building hallways during lunches or tutorial. Please respect those teachers who are teaching by remaining in center campus.
• JUNIORS OR SENIORS who want to exceed on the AIMS exam need to come to the Counseling Office to sign up. Only junior scores will count for tuition waivers. For questions and information, please see your counselor.
• JUNIORS AND SENIORS: At registration, you were asked to fill out a form to receive important post high school information regarding colleges, scholarships, and other pertinent information. You needed to provide Counseling with an e-mail that can be used to send you important information for your senior year. If you have a new e-mail address since then, please come to Counseling and update your information.
• KICK-OFF DANCE on Friday, August 29, after the Amphi Football game, from 9:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. Three Dollars to get in, CDO ID REQUIRED and only CDO students.
• THE METROPOLITAN EDUCATION COMMISSION’S Youth Advisory Council/Tucson Teen Congress is looking for students to help develop recommendations as to policies and programs designed to improve the quality of education throughout Pima. If you are interested, please come to the Counseling Office for an application. The application is due by Monday, September 5, to the commission office.
• FEMALE SENIOR STUDENTS: Are you looking to earn money for College? Join the Miss America Organization, the largest provider of college scholarships for women in the world. There will be two contestant information meetings on August 23 and August 30. For more information, go online to http://misspimacounty.org.
• THE DORADO DEN will be open Tuesday through Thursday this week after school. We are located in the upper G Building. Stop by and see what we have for sale.
• ARE YOU INTERESTED IN TAKING CULINARY ARTS 1 but unable to fit it into your schedule? CDO will be offering the class on Tuesday and Thursday after school, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. See your counselor, if you are interested in enrolling in this class.
• ATTENTION STUDENTS: Now is the time to purchase your 2009 CDO yearbook while prices are still low! Purchase prior to September 3, for $55.00. After that, the price will increase to $65.00.
