| Welcome to the Holaway Library. My name is Marcia Joyce and I have been involved with Holaway Elementary for over twenty years. Both my children were students here. This will be my 9th year as the Holaway Librarian. We are in for an EXCITING 2011 - 2012 school year. Our "Read Around the World" theme will explore every aspect of reading about our world. LOOKING FORWARD TO: Author Visits****Guest Readers*****Writers'Conference *****Book Fairs****UA Festival of Books***** CHECK OUT PROCEDURE: K-1-2 one book (kindergarten check out begins late September) 3-4-5 two books or one book and one magazine Check out is set up for a two week due date. Children may not check out additional books until all checked out material is brought back. If a child brings back a book every week, they may check out a new book every week. Although Holaway does not charge a fine for overdue books, there is a replacement charge for lost or damaged books. Please note that because of our budget restraints, returning books is very important for all our students. Teachers, parents and librarians all working together will lay the foundation for "the love of reading."
