|This is my 17th year teaching - and fifth year teaching Forensic Science and Biology at Ironwood Ridge. I was born and raised in Colorado Springs, Colorado and received my B.S. in Forest Biology at Colorado State University. After that, I was a Peace Corps Volunteer in Ecuador. It was there that I realized how much I loved to teach. When I returned, I went back to school and received my teaching certification and Master's in Education from Ottawa University. After that, I taught Science (mainly Biology) and coached cross-country and track in Phoenix for 12 years. I have a beautiful daughter who is in fifth grade this year, and a wonderful husband who is also in education. He works in the Marana School District. I love to run, cycle and be outdoors. I am very excited to be teaching at Ironwood Ridge again this year!
