Tutoring and Homework Help 

All students at risk of falling below grade level at La Cima are welcome to join our after school ACHIEVE program. ACHIEVE will allow students time for homework help, tutorials with Language Arts and Math teachers as well as Enriching classes. This program requires registration. Students below grade level will be invited and required to attend.

Students will either be placed in one or two hours of tutorial with their teachers after school. In addition to Creative Writing, Reading Circles and Math help, the second hour will offer Computer, Club Cranium (games), Arts and Crafts and Team Sports.

• Computers – students work in the computer lab to do research, complete assignments or play educational games
• Arts and Crafts – Students explore their creative side and create enriching school design.
• Club Cranium – Students strengthen their vocabulary and critical thinking skills through the use of games such as Chess, Checkers, Apples to Apples, Jeopardy, Scrabble, Cranium, etc.
• Team Sports – Students strengthen their relationships and team building across the grades working on cooperative teams both with indoor and outdoor games, relay races, etc.

Ms. Gould will also offer Math homework help in her room (302) on Thursday mornings from 7:45-8:15am.
