Siento amor hacía el aprendizaje; curiosidad; y el querer saberlo todo. Espero que pueda impartir ese amor a los estudiantes de La Cima. Los estudiantes tienen un rol muy importante en enseñarme cosas nuevas todos los días y eso es muy ¡emocionante! Cada día lo tomo con la actitud de “¡puedo hacerlo!” |

Okay, a bit about me….I once heard “You never get a second chance to make a first impression.” Well, I’d like to extend that idea a bit further and let you know that I make it my business to put my best into everything I do, whether it is the for first time or the 47th time. “Choose your attitude” because you have only “1LYF2LV” comprise my general perspective on life and those I hold dear. I’ve chosen to begin my 17th year in the education biz right here at La Cima because I love middle-school kids as well as the wonderful faculty and staff who have chosen to be a powerful influence in their lives. Please know that it is my goal to help you enjoy your experience at La Cima.
A ver, algo sobre mi……….. Una vez escuché “nunca tendrás una segunda oportunidad para dar la primera impresión” Bueno, me gustaría agregar algo más, personalmente yo pongo todo mi esfuerzo en hacer lo mejor en todo lo que hago, ya sea la primera vez o por 47ma vez. “Elige tu actitud” por que solo tienes una sola vez para vivir (“1LYF2LV”) esto encierra mi perspectiva general de la vida y de los que quiero. Escogí empezar mi 17mo año de enseñanza en la escuela La Cima por que quiero a los estudiantes de secundaria tal como al personal docente quienes han elegido ser una influencia poderosa para los estudiantes. Por favor quiero que sepan que mi meta es ayudarle a tener una experiencia agradable en la escuela La Cima. |

I’m excited to be calling La Cima home this year! A little bit about myself: I’m from Michigan, and moved to Texas after college to teach. I’m new to Tucson this year and am grateful to all the staff and students who have welcomed me to La Cima. When I’m not at school I love to read, run, hike, camp & travel with my husband. What I love most about working with students is that I’m constantly learning and being challenged to try new ideas. My favorite quote is from Gandhi: “We must be the change we want to see in the world.” I hope that this year La Cima students & staff will be a force for positive change in our school & community.

I am the Behavior Intervention Specialist and my job is to monitor the SUCCESS Room. I work with students who need a time out from their regular classes. I assist them with their classwork and help them develop strategies for being successful when they return to the classroom. |
