General Information:
Our school and our district have also developed emergency procedures that address a number of possible events – from criminal activity, to plane crashes, to neighborhood chemical spills. It is our intention to be prepared for any contingency, and we are undertaking practice drills of our procedures on a recurring basis this year. Please do not be alarmed by these drills if you hear that they have occurred. The drills are essential to maintaining the preparedness of our students and staff. Please also communicate with your child(ren) regarding the importance of participating in these drills, listening to school staff, and learning about the procedures.
In the unlikely event we should have a situation which would necessitate the evacuation of our campus, please be aware that your child(ren) would be generally first be relocated to Wilson K-8 or IRHS Our alternative evacuation site is Casas Adobe church/School and would typically be used where the first site was unavailable for some reason. Please make a note of this.
