| Welcome to Rio Vista's F.T.O! F.T.O. is the family-teacher organization for Rio Vista. It's membership consists of teachers, administrators, parents and or guardians of students enrolled at Rio Vista. The F.T.O. helps encourage communication and cooperation between parents, teachers and adminstration. The F.T.O. also raises money and provides funding for projects and programs initiated by staff and parent requests. This organization provides an opportunity for participation through volunteering to enhance the continued commitment of the value of education. F.T.O. Sponsored Activities Artist-in-Residence Program Local artists work with grade levels for an extended period of time on various arts, such as dance, music, pupetry, painting, murals, or mime. Many of the programs culminate in an evening performance. Ice Cream Social Parents, students, and teachers gather for brownies and ice cream at this annual event. Art projects are displayed and the various school musical groups perform. T-Shirts Rio Vista T-shirts will be sold this year. The t-shirts should be worn on Fridays which are designated school spirit day. Go to the office to purchase a t-shirt. Box Tops for Education Please send in your box tops to Rio Vista. Click on the Box Tops for Education picture for more information. Please join us at the F.T.O. meetings. Meetings are held every first Monday of the month at 6:30 p.m. in the teachers lounge.
