Our School Profile

Rio Vista has highly qualified staff involved in ongoing professional training. We serve students in grades Kindergarten through fifth grade. All students receive 90 minutes of direct reading instruction at their instructional level which is determined by classroom assessments and our Measure of Academic Performance(MAP) testing results. Grades K-5 reading instruction uses the Houghton Mifflin reading program and the literature based Pegasus program. Our K-5 classes instruct with the research-based Everyday Math program.

Our school provides instruction for students with special needs and interests through the English Language Development program, REACH, the ACHIEVE program, Special Education classes, and tutoring.
