Welcome to Walker Library!
The Library is open every school day from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m except Thursdays when we are open from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Students visit the Library each week with their class. They may also use the Library 15 minutes before and after school each day.

1st - 5th graders have the opportunity to visit the library at lunchtime on the following days:

1st grade - Fridays only
2nd grade - Mondays and Fridays
3rd grade - Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Friday
4th and 5th grades - Mondays and Thursdays

Kinders are allowed to check out one book at a time. First grade through fourth grade students may check out two books at a time; and fifth graders are invited to check out three books at a time. The loan period is two weeks. Students are encouraged to return or renew books often to avoid getting overdue books.

Parents are invited to use the Library and check out books to be read with their children at home. Parents may check out up to ten books at a time for a two-week loan period. Shared reading is a great way to develop a life-long love of books!

Stop by the Library! We’d love to see you!

We will gratefully accept any contributions of gently used books your children no longer use. If these books do not fit in our collection, I may donate them to teachers or to charities or use them for prizes and giveaways.

Another option to help the library is to take your used books to Bookman’s, then donate your credit to the Library. This will allow me to select books that can fill a specific need in the Library collection.

Thanks for your continued interest in the Library. Stop in and see us often!
