PTO is NOT an exclusive club.....it is every Parent & Teacher in the school. No dues to pay and no cards to carry!
What does the PTO do?
Together with the Principal, teachers and staff, we decide what the school needs to enhance the education and safety of our children. Then we raise the money to help pay for those items when the District Budget falls short...
...and what do we do for Walker School?
We hire fun and educational individuals and groups to come teach our kids in entertaining assembles, and we sponsor extracurricular clubs like The Yearbook Club and Odyssey of the Mind where the students learn by doing.
We help the school buy library furniture and bee proof trash cans, ramadas and new, safer playground equipment.
We sponsor Grandparents Day, Family Fun Night, and the Annual Fall Festival - because families are important! We hold a Book Fair twice a year and a Wrapping Paper & Chocolate Sale in the fall to help you get your holiday shopping done early!
We purchase things like computers, books, and lots of other educational classroom materials the teachers need. We even help pay for Teachers’ Aides!
So, come help our school.

Our school can receive credits for Free Supplies through Office Depot's "5% Back to Schools" Program. Every time you give our Back to Schools Program ID number when purchasing school supplies at Office Depot, our school receives credits equal to 5% of the qualifying purchases to use for FREE SUPPLIES. Diaper Drive
Student Council is sponsoring a diaper drive that will benefit the Southern Arizona Community Diaper Bank. The diaper drive will be held from Nov. 16 to Dec. 4.
Please drop off donated diapers in the office.
Annual Sock Drive
Collect new socks and underwear from now until Christmas for Amphi's needy children in the new millenium.
The Amphi Clothing Bank will accept all of your hand me down clothing. We especially need young boys up to size 14 - pants, shirts, shorts, sweatshirts and pants.
A box is available in the school lobby.
Bashas
Tell the cashier to link up your Thank You Card with LuLu Walker Elementary with this ID # 26401 (good through 3/31/09).
Albertson’s
Call the school office (696-6510) to get your Community Partners Card (good indefinitely!) Scan it EVERY time you shop!
Escrip
Go to www.escrip.com, click on “sign-up” and follow the directions. Our group name is Walker Elementary School ID # 6582401.
Target
They will credit our school with 1% of all purchases charged to a Target VISA card. Ask the cashier how to link your card to LuLu Walker Elementary.
Fry’s
Take this UPC code to the cashier and ask them to scan it with your VIP card (good through 4/25/09). Pass to on to friends and family, too!
