Fourth grade families,
We had a plethora of guest speakers this week that enriched each and every day for our students!
We would like to thank:
Tucson Water – Dr. Faucet taught our children to conserve water, why water is import in Arizona, as well as the history of water and how it is used in Tucson. All students received a shower timer; we hope that this will be used and your water bill will go down!
Mary Snider and Officer Maddox – Our Oro Valley Council Member and the Wilson SRO talked to students about our nation’s branches of government and what that looks in Tucson and Oro Valley.
Mrs. Bonnie Pulver came to us from IBM to teach us about Circuits – Students learned about a parallel circuits, open and closed circuits and many other important information about electricity.
Mrs. Wise and Mrs. Madrill from State Farm taught us how to save money and gave us all a piggy bank to save in! Students really enjoyed learning about what happens if they save one dollar per day for the next 30 years! In addition, they learned what interest means, and how it works.
TEP – Tucson Electric Power - also came in to teach us about electricity and how it works – this will help students understand more about the circuits!
