|
We're back! We hope that you all attend the
appropriate "Parent Orientation Night" and take the time
to get to know your school, your PTO, and your child's
teachers. There are many helpful parents around,
please don't hesitate to ask questions.
We apologize for not getting this
email out by Friday morning. We are
learning the system and had a few road
blocks. Some of the things mentioned, will have
'clicks' attached next
time. |

Administration would like you to know
... |
On Thursday or Friday, all students were given
a tiny packet of information to take home. Please
check their backpacks, and or ask them for it.
From here on out, there will only be a rare occasion
that information will go home this way.
Reminder, that your child's teacher will discuss
with you how they prefer to communicate on a weekly
basis. Don't forget to check their classroom
websites as well.
If you did not see the letter from the
District's "Transportation Dept" regarding safety
and riding the bus. Go to the Districts Website

| The "Community
Connection" is a MUST HAVE! |
|
It is a school wide directory with a list of all
teachers, staff, administrators and students, along with
phone numbers, addresses, class lists, etc. The
cost is $2. An order form went home
yesterday. There will be an order form available
online by the end of next week. The deadline to
order is Sept 11th.
The directory is not to be used for professional
gain, or any type of solicitation. We are however,
for the first time, offering an opportunity to advertise
in the directory for a small fee. If you would
like to advertise your business in this directory,
please email Dee at borendame@comcast.net receive
additional
information. |
| Wrangler Wear - Wrangler Store -
School Spirit Fridays |
|
Every Friday is school spirit for the ENTIRE
school. Live on Friday morning announcements,
students names will be drawn from a raffle bin. If
those students are wearing a "Wilson" shirt, they
receive a coupon to be redeemed at the Cafeteria's snack
bar that day at lunch. It is no longer just
'blue and green' ... it's an actual "Wilson"
shirt. It can be old ones, new ones, wilson school
athletics, but not the Wilson PE uniform, and NOT just
the 'class t-shirt' worn on field trips and such.
An order form for purchasing Wrangler Wear was sent
home hard copy, and will be available on line at the end
of next week. Deadline to order is Aug 24.
The Wrangler Store is open every Friday morning
(unless given advance notice otherwise), in the
Elementary court yard from 7:30am-8:00am, then in the
Middle School courtyard area from 8:00am til
8:25am. |
| Give "FUNDraisers the BOOT" ...
for your PTO |
If you are new to Wilson, then
you will be pleased to know, that our PTO raises
necessary funds NOT through selling items such as
Magazines, Gift Wrap and Cookie Dough (to name a
few). We have a direct giving campaign, by writing
a check and "Filling the Boot", with 100% of the funds
used in efforts to make our children's educational
experience the best it can be. We hope that you
will participate!
Donation envelopes were sent home. The "Fill
the Boot" campaign is from Aug 6th - Sept
24th.
Based on input from others,
new this year is donating via "Pay Pal". We hope
to have the "Paypal" button setup on the School Website
by the end of next week. Stay
tuned! |
| Our first SCHOOL WIDE EVENT of
the year ... The "Western Round up &
Chili Cookoff |

Mark your calendar for Thursday, Sept 24th, from
4:30-7pm. Enjoy the western theme and most of all,
all the great "Chili". Each class is asked to
present a chili. See the flyer that was just sent
home. And if you want to help, that would be great

Orientation" sponsored by the PTO, on Sunday, Aug 16th
