About the Library
|
The Wilson Library provides library services for the elementary and middle school students at our school. The head librarian, Mrs. Juric, has been at Wilson since the school opened in 1996. Mrs. Juric has undergraduate and graduate degrees in Secondary Education and Library Science from the University of Arizona.
Lynne Ramsey is the new Library Assistant. She is a U of A alumni, and a retired elementary teacher, with 22 years of experience in Arizona and Nevada schools. She is very excited to be doing what she loves - working with students, and reading!
Elementary students visit the library weekly with their classroom teacher, and middle school students visit the library on a flexible schedule according to the research and reading requirements of their teachers.
The library hours are the same as the school day. Elementary, 8:00 - 2:30, and Middle School 8:20 - 3:35. The Tuesday hours follow the early release schedule for each school.
The Wilson Library does not charge fines for overdue books, but students may not checkout books until overdues are returned. Students who lose books will be charged the replacement cost, plus 10% for tax, shipping, and handling. |
