Here's what's going on!

First grade is almost half way over...hard to believe!
This month we will be learning about winter holidays. For science, we will also learn about inventors. In math we will continue to work on addition and subtraction, and will also practice number patterns. In writing, we continue to work on writing a good sentence, adding details to our writing, and organizing our writing with a topic sentence and supporting facts. In phonics we’ve been working on words with ar, and will begin to study words with qu, wh, er, ur, and ir. Our word wall has lots of words on it now, and we practice them all the time with games of Wordo, Around the World, and flash cards.
