About The Teacher

Welcome to 1st grade! We will have a fabulous year. I have been teaching in the Amphi School District for 24 years. I have taught 1st grade, 1/2 day kindergarten and full-day kindergarten. I enjoy teaching primary children. They are so full of enthusiasm, honesty and humor. They like to learn by doing and that is exactly what we will do. In language arts (reading) and math we will have many hands-on activities incorporated with integrated units that kids love. In our classroom, we have high expectations along with support, nurturing and respect for each other.
Things I love to do include spending time with my family, traveling and reading. We have two children. My husband is also an educator.
