Welcome to Sooter's Science!
Welcome to 8th grade science!

It's hard to believe the 2007/2008 school year will be my 11th year of teaching science! I taught in Phoenix for five years and this is my sixth year here at AMS. My education includes a B.S. in Education (my major was Exercise and Sports Science) from the University of Georgia. I then earned an M.S. in Science Education at Arizona State University (Sorry Wildcat Fans!!!).

When I am not at school, I love spending time with my husband, two daughters, and pets. We have two dogs, a cat, fish and turtle.

One of my passions is mountain biking and I can often be found riding the rocky trails of Tucson on the weekends. Over this past summer I saw FOURTEEN snakes!! Yikes! Eleven of them were Rattlesnakes (ten were Diamondbacks and one was a Mojave); two were Sonoran Gopher Snakes; and one I think was a Whiptail... If you don't believe me, I have a few pictures on my phone to prove it. :)
