Preparing your child for Kindergarten
How can you help to prepare your child for Kindergarten and keep his/her readiness alive?
Practice these skills...
(These are entry level skills only.)
saying his/her first and last name
printing his/her first name
holding a pencil correctly
holding and using scissors, practice!!
sitting quietly for 10-15 minutes, practice!!
naming the four basic shapes(circle, square, triangle, rectangle)
naming the eight basic colors (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, brown, and black)
begin recognizing letters of the alphabet, both upper and lowercase with fluency!!
begin recognizing numbers 1-20
saying the alphabet
