Recent News & Upcoming Events
April:
4/1 - Welcome to April, students! We're in our last stretch of school for this year. My Honors Internship students should now be starting on the set of Board of Directors questions, as well as their essays. The Board of Directors questions are online on the wikispace, and to be answered to online. In order to respond, YOU MUST HAVE A WIKISPACE ACCOUNT, AND BE LINKED TO THE HONORS INTERNSHIP SITE.
You really should have one by now, and if you don't, there's very detailed instructions on how to get one in January's last update. I hope everyone is enjoying the transition to summer, and get cracking on those questions! They are due next Tuesday, April 8th.
Happy April Fool's day!
March:
3/6 - There's been a ton of updates to the Wikispace sites, and if anyone still hasn't signed up on them, I recommend it! They've become a much more integrated with the classes and I still encourage my students to take advantage of the discussion forums on the sites.
If you're interested in joining Honors Internship, please see the Honors Pre-Internship website for all the details you'll need!
Assignments are also regularly updated on the Honors Internship site, so if you missed something especially, be sure to check it out.
February:
No full updates in February, see March.
January: 1/24 - Much progress has been made in the Honors Internship and Honors Pre-Internship websites. It is our hope to help make these an extension of the class, and with new features we can put it to work. On the sites, the discussion feature is now fully operable. Here, we can extend our in class discussions and pose any questions related to the class. The discussion section acts as a forum, specific to the class and its classmates.
I highly encourage all my students to take advantage of this. In order to do so, you must first become a part of the wikispace network, and join the class site.
1. Create an account on wikispaces. Its free, safe, and simple. You can do so here. There is no need to make your own "space" when asked. 2.Navigate to your class's wikispace site, and click "Join" on the top left. You'll then been able to take part in the discussions and use the site to its full capabilities. This is ideal for keeping up with class and going further! Simple!
