Welcome to the IRHS National Honor Society Homepage!
The mission of the Ironwood Ridge Chapter of the National Honor Society (IRHS NHS) to create enthusiasm for scholarship, to stimulate a desire to render service, to promote leadership, and to develop character. The Ironwood Ridge NHS chapter includes both senior and junior students who have distinguished themselves both in service and in academics. For many students, selection as a member of the National Honor Society is the pinnacle of their achievements in school. This honor, recognized throughout the nation, is both the public recognition of accomplishment and private commitment to continued excellence on the part of the new member.

Ironwood Ridge chapter membership not only recognizes students for their previous accomplishments, but challenges them to develop further through active involvement in school activities and community service. The Ironwood Ridge NHS chapter asks students to volunteer for activities designed to aid our school as well as our community.

NHS is the nation's premier organization established to recognize outstanding high school students. More than just an honor roll, NHS serves to honor those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of leadership, service, character, and scholarship. These characteristics have been associated with membership in the organization since 1921. National Honor Society chapters are found in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, many U.S. Territories, and Canada.

NOTICE: The induction ceremony has been moved forward to Monday, November 2nd 2009 (the first Monday in November) at 7:00 PM in the Ironwood Ridge Auditorium. Please arrive at 6:30. We are looking forward to seeing you and your family!
