Podcasting Resources
Audacity: This FREE software allows people to edit audio clips to create dynamic and powerful podcasts.

Music For Your Podcasts: It is critical that you only use music and sounds that you have created or that are royalty free. You may NOT use music that you do not have permission to use from the publisher of that music. Below you will find links to sites that provide access to royalty free music. Some also contain sound effects to spice up your podcast.

Partners In Rhyme: This site has a large amount of royalty free music as well as sound effects that you can use in your podcasts.

Music Bakery: This site offers a large collection of royalty free music tracks for download or purchase on CD-ROM.

Sounddogs: This site offers a large collection of royalty free music tracks for download or purchase on CD-ROM.

Here are some sample podcasts

PPPodcast : This is a weekle podcast that summarizes concepts taught each week in a university course about plants, pathogens and people. (episodes are about 5 minutes each)

Our Ocean World: is a daily radio feature that brings listeners around the world news and information about issues related to the ocean. The show presents solutions to shared problems and suggestions on how listeners can help preserve our most vital natural resource. (episodes are very short 1-2 minutes)

This Week In Science Biology Podcasts: This site offers podcasts in a wide range of issues in science. I don't think these shows are that good, however, they do illustrate what podcasts are and how they work. (1 hour episodes)
