CoffeeCup GIF Animator: This product allows you to create dynamic animations in gif format. It also allows flash animations too! Available for Windows and Mac. Please note that it has a limited free trial and then they require you to purchase the program. During the free trial it places a little coffee cup on your animation, but otherwise it is fully functional. Please check out the first mitosis animation on the mitosis page to see this product in use.

GIMP: This product is a terrific image editor, similar to Adobe Photoshop, but it is FREE. It can be used to create images for use in animations, powerpoints and more. Available for Windows, Mac OS X and Unix/Linux.

Pivot Stickfigure Animator: This is another really useful product that one of my students introduced me to. Pivot can be used to create terrific animations for your projects. The best thing is that you can save it in gif format so that it can be used anywhere. Also, this program is free and does NOT put any unwanted graphics in your animation (like coffee cup does).

My Brochure Maker: This is an online software that allows for dynamic and easy brochure creation. The only drawback is that you cannot save your file offline.
