Intro
to Movie Maker
Task: Create a video in movie maker on an
appropriate topic of your choice.
Step One:
Decide on your topic.
Decide on your “thesis”.
You will
try to convince your audience to agree with your point of view. Before you can
do that, you have to have a point of
view/opinion. That is your thesis.
Step Two:
Create a folder in your server
file. It should have the same name as your topic.
Open a Word document. Save it to
the folder you just created. Save it as Bibliography
Info.
You
will put the bibliographical information for every picture or sound file on
this document.
Step Three:
Find images (photos and clipart)
that will support your thesis.
This link will help you:
Save the images to the folder you
created for your topic in your server file.
Put the bibliographical
information for every picture or sound file on the Bibliography Info document.
Step Four:
Find music to go along with your
topic/thesis.
This link will help you:
Save the music file to the folder
you created for your topic in your server file.
Put the bibliographical
information for every picture or sound file on the Bibliography Info document.
Step Five:
Open Movie Maker (under the
programs menu)
Import your pictures and audio.
Drop them into the timeline. Add
text, effects, and transitions. Make sure you are saving your work often!
Step Six:
Save your final movie. Go to File,
Save Movie File.
Follow the prompts.
Step Seven:
Prepare your “presentation”—what
will you say when you introduce your movie to the class?
Step Eight:
Present! J
Step Nine:
Evaluate your presentation and
your movie using the rubrics. Reflect on what you liked/did not like and on
what you would change.
Step Ten:
Relax and enjoy the other
presentations!
