SOTW ....Student of the Week! |
In prior years, your child has made presentations about themselves. It's an exercise worth repeating because it gives the children practice in public speaking on a familiar, comfortable, and interesting topic... themselves!
If at all possible, your child will be SOTW closest to his/her birthday. The week before your child's special week, s/he will receive directions for their display.
Students may bring pictures, collections, a favorite book, trophies, etc. They may also write a short biography on a paper that will be provided.
The display can be set up on Monday so the rest of the class can have the week to enjoy celebrating your child.
We will set aside some time on Friday to spotlight our Student of the Week-SOTW and celebrate with him/her.
***Please feel free to send in a treats (keeping in mind the district's/state department's guidelines) for your child's birthday.
