Check Grades Here!
Dear Parents and Guardians,
I have decided to venture into the world of Grades Online. To access the grades: click on the link, enter your student’s last name and student ID number and check on their progress in all subject areas. I will update grades as regularly as possible, at least twice a week. Please understand a few things about viewing grades online:
o Grades can fluctuate as the semester goes. Just because your child is getting a “A” now, does not mean that is what they will get on their report card in that area and vice versa. Check regularly on your child’s progress.
o I will always accept missing assignments up until the last week before report cards are to go home. Missing assignments are noted with a “mi.”
o If your student has scored a “D” on any paper you will notice a note that says “Has been asked to redo this paper due to low grade.” If your student re-does the assignment and has earned a better grade, the note will not be removed from the report. This is so that you and I may keep track of the number of assignments that have been turned in that have earned a “D.” Students are always given back “D” assignments to redo for a better grade. They are only given one chance to redo their assignments.
o I am human and will make mistakes. I try my hardest not to and find mistakes rare when it comes to entering grades. Sometimes papers might go home and haven’t been entered in to the grade book and marked as missing or the wrong grade is accidently entered. Graded assignments come home every Friday. Feel free to check for accuracy. If I have made a mistake please send in the paper with a note and I will make sure that it is fixed.
o The dates that you will see for each assignment ARE NOT the dates that the assignment was due. These dates indicate when the grades were entered into the grade book.
o I will no longer send home printed progress reports, unless a specific request is made.
o Papers turned in on Friday will not be entered into the grade book until the following week.
