This is a school wide program for K-5 grade students. Every month the students will recieve a calendar from me. On the first day of the next month these calendars will be collected. I will total the hours and minutes read and graph the results on our classroom chart. The PTO then collects the calendars and hands out coupons for various Tucson locations where kids can get a free item just for turning in their calendars. At the end ofthe year those kids that meet the reading goal will be invited to the Wrnaglin' Readers PARTY!!!!
The goal for the 3rd grade is 80 hours.
This calendar also serves as my classes reading log every night. Please keep these calendars in your students homoework folder. Initial the box when they have read and fill out in the total number of minutes at the end of the week. |
