About Mr. Don Holp
|
Mr. Holp will be starting his 24th year in the Amphitheater School District. Before coming to Amphi High School, he taught in Ohio at South Central High School and Linconlview High School. Before beginning his teaching career he attended Amherst Steele High School and Kent State University in Ohio. He also attended Indiana University to receive his Master's Degree. His major in college was physical education and he also has a degree in mathematics. In high school and college he competed in basketball and baseball. He earned the academic Dean's List honor many times during his college career and was nominated for the "Outstanding Senior in Physical Education" before receiving his undergraduate degree.
Over the years, Mr. Holp has taught math (from 7th grade to high school geometry) and physical education. He has coached primarily baseball and basketball at all levels (including college level baseball teams) with baseball being his first love.
This year Mr. Holp is an assistant baseball coach at Amphi High School and is the Athletic Equipment Manager at Amphi High.
