Mrs. Iverson in Kauai, Hawaii
Meet Mrs. Iverson
It is my pleasure and an honor to be a teacher at Cross Middle School. After 14 years of teaching, I feel like I have the most rewarding position, at the best school. It doesn't get much better than this. My students are a delight to see each day, and it is my goal to help them continue to grow, on their way to becoming successful young adults.

I have been given the privilege of experiencing five years of teaching at the intermediate level, and another nine years teaching middle school. Every day feels like a gift, and an experience that has solidified my love for the teaching profession.

I am fortunate to have been able to spend most of my life in Tucson. I am originally from Wisconsin, and I have been raised by two of the most wonderful parents a person could have. Growing up, I had the experience of living in a busy household, with six brothers and two sisters.

I am the mother of three wonderful children. My oldest son is now attending College at the University of Maryland in College Park, and plays on the Football team he is a fullback, #49...Go TERPS!

My daughter is a brilliant freshman this year at ASU. She is in a pre-med program, and I am realizing that the U of A and ASU really should be friendlier with each other. (My husband and I are both U of A graduates.)

My youngest son is an energetic seventh-grader at Cross. He loves airplanes and cars. It is such a treat knowing he is in a wonderful, nurturing place every day!

I am very happily married to the wonderful Mr. Iverson, who makes every day of my life easier, and even more fun!

My hobbies include making beaded jewelry, and singing with my musician friends at small local events with the Tucson Musician Club.

I also enjoy reading young adult literature, whenever given the chance, cooking healthy (okay, sometimes-not) dishes, and gardening. You could say I kind-of have a "green thumb".

This year I am a National Board Candidate. The students I have this year will be a very influential part of my career, and I am thankful to have this opportunity.

A positive attitude guides me, and my goal is to make the most of each and every day by giving and contributing to the community and my family, with my teaching.
