I am still in the process of completing the grading of many essays that were turned in this week. It will take a few days to finish grading these. I have updated grades twice this week, and I have also been entering grades from late work, missing work, and absence make-up work. Your patience is greatly appreciated. There have been a huge number of absences, due to the seasonal changes, allergies, colds, etc., and I have lots of "odds and ends" to grade.
2009-10 is also going to be the year of my National Board Candidacy. My goal is to become a Nationally Board Certified Teacher, and it is a rigorous process that takes most of an entire school year to complete. This year will be full of meaningful, authentic, learning. We will practice 21st Century skills, and spend lots of time reading, writing, listening and speaking.
