Welcome to the Third Grade!
I'm happy to be returning to Walker as a full time 3rd grade Teacher. I look forward to meeting you and the rest of your family!

About the Teacher.....
I was born in Orlando Florida. I attended Embry Riddle Aeronautical University in Prescott, Arizona, graduating with a Bachelors’ degree in 1981. I entered the United States Air Force in Jan 1982 and served for 26 years as a C130 navigator and obtained the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. While in the Air Force I attended the University of Arkansas and was awarded a Masters’ degree in Operations Administration. I took the job as a substitute teacher initially to fill the void between the Air Force and my next career. However, I really enjoyed the substitute teaching experience and decided to make teaching my second life time profession. I love instructing at Walker and substitute taught in art in November and December, 2007. The camaraderie amazed me and I enjoyed my time teaching art. Six hundred kids a week, new faces, and new names. I believe all children can and will learn. I think kids are responsible for learning; I am there to facilitate the process. I am looking forward to a great year with your Third Grade Superstars!
