What you can expect from me.
What I expect from you:
  • You will be treated with courtesy and respect.

  • You will be called upon to participate positively.

  • You will be challenged.

  • You will have homework 4 or more times per week (usually Monday through Thursday and sometimes on Friday too).

  • You will have lots of opportunities to get additional instruction from me and from the adult tutors who support the AccMath program.

    The focus is on YOU because,

    I do not give points

    - - YOU EARN THEM!


    Only you can determine how well you will do in my class.

    No one who works will fail my class.
SUCCESSFUL STUDENTS:
  • Respect the right of each student to have an opportunity to learn.
  • Arrive on time to class and come prepared to learn.
  • Respect the property of others.
  • Participate positively each day.
  • Do their own work and do their best work at all times.
  • Have ALL materials and supplies each day (textbook, math notebook, paper, pencils, eraser, etc).
  • Speak only when it is their turn.
    - -Raise their hand and wait for permission to speak.

    ACCELERATED MATH GRADING
    (Math I and Math II)

  • Mastered Objectives........... 60%
  • --Each quarter this will be split between the total objectives mastered for the year and the number of objectives mastered in the quarter.
  • Test Scores ..........................20%
  • Homework/Classwork..........20%.







    AccMath grades are primarily based upon the student's progress toward weekly goals (4-5 objectives per week), quarterly goals (approximately 30-40 objectives per quarter) with an end-of-year goal of approximately 100 total objectives mastered (For AccMath II it is approximately 130 Mastered Objectives).
