Melendez I have over 20 years teaching at AHS, and am currently teaching at La Cima Middle School. I am certified to teach 7-12th grade Science I am highly qualified to teach Chemistry as I earned a Bachelors of Science in Chemistry and another in Secondary Science Education from the University of Arizona, 1986. I have been married for 28 years, have two children, now in their mid-twenties. I have taught most subjects in science such as Conceptual Physics, Honors and General chemistry, Electronics, Engineering Physcis, Climatology, Integrated Lab Science, and more. I have not taught Biology, but have taught Life Science. When I am not teaching, I enjoy outdoor activities such a road and mountain biking, hiking, snow skiing, and exploring unknown lands. I am interested in many other topics besides Chemistry: such as Geology, Meteorology, Astronomy, Geography, Engineering, History and Sports. My favorite readings are all about intrepid explorers, adventurers, discoverers, Earth's mysteries, and nature's beauty.
