About the teacher...
|
I am a native Tucsonan, graduating from the University of Arizona in 1990. I have taught in the Amphitheater District for over 17 years, and this will be my fifth year at Coronado, returning after a year in the District's Career Ladder Department. I am National Board Certified in the area of Early Adolescent Social Studies (the first for that category in Tucson!), and this summer obtained my provisional Gifted Endorsement. My wife teaches at Coronado also (3rd grade!), and our son, Ashton, is now a Cougar too (he is in 2nd Grade)! My older children Geoffrey (21), Alex (18), and Peggy (13) are a great source of pride for me too! You can click on the picture below for more about my family!
In addition to teaching my regular classes, I am also the Yearbook Advisor and sponsor of the Coronado Mountain Bike Club. If you are interested in either of these areas, please be sure to check the links to the left!
Come back regularly... to get updated on our class activities in my monthly letter for parents, check for weekly homework assignments, and other information relating to your son/daughter's class!
I have an open-door policy. Please feel free to come by anytime (you'll need to check in through the office first) or contact me if you have any questions or concerns at any time.
