Ms. Dohogne's Second Grade

About Ms. Ileana M. Dohogne
I have a Bachelor's Degree in Education from the University of Arizona, and a Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education from Arizona State University. I have also earned my certification in Sheltered English Instruction. I have been teaching for 25 years, 20 of them for the Amphitheater School District, and Copper Creek!

I have two daughters. Ileana is 19 years old and attends Estrella Mountain Community College. She is studying ocupational therapy. She would like to someday own her own theraputic horseback riding school for special needs children. Briana is 15 years old and attends Canyon Del Oro High School. She is on the State Champhionship Lady Dorados Softball Team! As you can see I am a very proud mom.

I believe each child has his/her own style of learning and I try to teach using a variety of styles, as well as integration of various subjects in a unit of study. Seeing + Hearing = Learning! I have very high expectations for my students...second grade is very different from first in that children begin to be more independent and learn more responsibility. I believe in trying hard, neatness and doing their best at all times. In my class I want your child to become a confident little person, ready to tackle his/her world... or maybe just third grade!
