COURSE DESCRIPTION:
Students w ill learn a variety of art techniques through exploring various media in the visual arts. To understand the complete act of creating art, art history will also be studied.
CLASS RULES AND EXPECTATIONS:
· Please be on time to class. Tardiness will result in parental and /or administrative notification.
Please bring a pencil, eraser and notebook with you to class everyday.
· Please use the restroom and get drinks on your passing period.
· Please do not eat or drink anything (other than water) in the art room.
· Please choose safe behavior during activities. You will be removed from the room if you do not act responsibly.
Responsibility is shown by keeping your hands and body to yourself, talking appropriately for school, cleaning up after yourself and completing the work given to you.
· Be respectful of yourself, others, faculty, materials and the school.
Respect is shown by being on time, being prepared, giving your attention, working diligently, using the materials appropriately, respecting the property of others and refraining from the use of electronic devices.
· Plagiarism is not accepted. I will not accept any work which includes any copyrighted imagery (i.e. cartoon characters, logos, slogans, etc). I expect you to use your own imagination and creativity.
ATTENDANCE:
Attendance is essential to an art class since the majority of work will be done during class time. According to the school attendance policy, you have one day per day absent to complete missing work. Please see your grade report or talk to me for missing assignments.
