| Homework |
Beginning August 13 students will be responsible for recording their R/S reading. This will require that they write a prediction during R/S before they begin to read. When they finish reading in R/S they will write down the page numbers they completed and whether or not their prediction was correct. This will be their homework for Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. On Wednesday they will usually have a worksheet to complete. |
| Grades |
Progress reports will be sent home on Thursday of each week. I will also attempt to update the grades on the website every Wednesday.
Reading 30%
Writing 30%
Homework 15%
Bellwork 12.5%
Grammar 12.5% |
| Absences |
When students return to school after being absent, it is their responsibility to take care of their missed work. Students can call the homework hotline each night to get a daily update of their current work. HOTLINE 696-5920/7/7
When you return to the classroom after being absent, you must follow these steps:
READ the assignment book to see what you have
missed.
WRITE down the work that you missed while you
were away.
SHOW Mrs. Nicholas the work and ASK her if
there is anything else you need to do.
ARRANGE a due date with Mrs. Nicholas.
If you missed a test, you must SCHEDULE a day
and time to make it up. |
