Mrs. Q's 5th Grade!!!
Second Reading Contract is due December 11th.

We are well into our year together!!!!
We are in full swing now!!! The students are working hard and showing me quality work. Keep studying those division tables to earn that sundae!!!

We are working very hard on our research reports! The kids chose an animal to learn more about and are currently researching on it!!! I am seeing a lot of hard work going on.

If you want to prepare your self for math keep practicing your multiplicaiton tables and division tables!!!! If you know your multiplication, math will be easy for you this year!!!!!

Parents: Our homework will look the same each week. I will put the spelling list on this site each week, they will have homework in spelling on Mon, Tues, Wed and Thurs. The assignments will vary from writing them a few times to creating comic strips and other fun activities. When we have a short week spelling will not be given out that week.

Math is the other subject they will be assigned each night. I will teach a concept, and they will practice in class, for homework they will have the same type of problems on a worksheet on Mon, Tues, Wed and Thur. When they have a test they will be given an easy assignment for homework that evening. Practice every night will help them prepare for the next day's lesson. Please try to practice multiplicaiton facts each night for 10 minutes.

Other types of homework may consist of reading. All assignments will be written down in their agenda's each day. I expect them to show you the assignment book and would greatly appreciate it if you would sign off each night that you saw the book. They will earn rewards for the book being signed each night and a consequence will be given if it is not signed. If you need to ask me a question or anything you may write it in the agenda and I will respond as soon as I can.

Every Friday you will see a Red Friday Folder, all the work that has been graded will be in that folder, a short message from me and a space for you to sign and comment. If your child does not like a score they earned on anything other than tests, they may fix the problems and send it back in the red folder on Monday (it will not be accepted any day other than that Monday). They will earn full points for any problems fixed. All other work is yours to keep.

My email is always up and I check it throughout the day. That is honestly the easiest and best way to get a message to me.
