About Mrs. Villasenor
|
This is my 20th year of teaching. Before I became a classroom teacher, I taught Physical Education. I was also given the opportunity to be a Career Ladder facilitator for two years. I have been married for 24 years and have 4 children. My husband works for the city. My oldest child, Ricardo, is 23 years old and is a paramedic. He works at UMC in the trauma center and for Southwest Ambulance in Casa Grande. My second son, Carlos, is 20 years old and attends the University of Northern Colorado. He is getting a business degree with an emphasis in sports management. My only daughter, Marta, is 17 years old. She works for Chick-fil-A and is a senior this year. The youngest in the family, Antonio, is 12 years old and playing basketball is a big part of his life. He will also be playing football in the fall. Keeping up with family activities and teaching responsibilities makes for a full day for me.
I love teaching. I enjoy working hard to help each child overcome any learning obstacles they might have. The kids learn that mistakes are there to help Mrs. Villasenor know what she needs to teach next, and to let them know what part of the needed learning they do not understand. I always say, "It is OK where you are, but it is not OK not to get better." Your child will be challenged this year. My students are expected to "Fight for Their Education". We will set goals and work to achieve them.
