Classroom Expectations
Be Punctual
Seated at your assigned desk from bell to bell.
Your teacher, not the bell, dismisses the class.

Be Prepared
Have all materials needed for class: pencil, pens, college-ruled paper, agenda, and assignments.
Backpacks will be stored at the back of the classroom during class. Students will not be allowed to go back into their bags once class has begun.

Be Respectful
Treat everyone with respect and care as an individual.

Participate
Be cooperative and not disruptive.
Stay on task.
Do not distract others from learning.
Contribute to a positive learning environment.
Avoid using profanity, putdowns, and/or obscenities.
Perform at your highest. Learn and master the required content.
Ask valid questions.
Clean up at the end of class.

Use Common Sense
Think before acting and speaking.

Follow Directions
Listen to your teacher and obey directions and instructions the first time they are given.
It should only take one request for the class to be quiet.

For All Assignments
~ No name, no grade.
~ Write first and last names, date, and class period at the top-right hand corner.
~ Use pencil, black ink pen, or dark blue ink pen. Please no markers or gel pens.
~ No small or overly fancy print.
~ If I can’t read it, I can’t grade it, and it may equal a zero.
~ No make-up work will be given for assignments never turned in!
~ Cheating and plagiarism (copying someone else’s work and claiming it as your own) will result in the failure of the assignment.

If an assignment is late:
The student has five (5) school days to turn in complete work.
When turning in the assignment, write “LATE” at the top of your assignment.
Place assignment in the black box labeled “Late” on it.
After five school days, the assignment will not be accepted and earns a zero.

When a student is absent and misses work such as notes, handouts, etc.
It’s the student’s responsibility to obtain any class notes and handouts.
The student must ask a classmate.
Most of the time a “While you were out” form will be completed to help the student.
The student must get any handouts from the red file crate.
The student has five (5) school days to turn in the assignment.
When submitting the assignment, write “ABSENT” at the top.
Place it in the “Late” black box.
After five school days, the assignment will not be accepted and earns a zero.
