Remember the other day, when you wrote a chart listing specific verbs for run, cry, or talk? Your homework tonight is a follow-up for that. Title: “Specific Verb Practice” ---Write 3 sentences. In each, use a different specific verb from that comp. book chart, and include context clues that relate to the specific meaning of the verb. Example: The ninth-graders gossiped about the latest breakup at CDO.
Science Day Sentences: Write three sentences about Science Day. Include a compound adjective in each sentence, and underline it. If you did not participate in Science Day, choose another topic to write your sentences about.
Compound Adjectives in Sentences was 10/26 classwork. Complete Compound Adjectives Matching in composition book, due 10/28. Complete Next Step (bottom of handout) as HW due 10/29. Answers can vary, but be sure that the word you create (and use in your sentences) is actually used as a word! (Check in a dictionary if you aren't sure.)
You'll have some class time Friday; finish the rest as HW due Monday.

Complete your final rattlesnake drawing (diamondback or sidewinder), attach to score sheet, and turn in to the inbox. --Also, you need to put your practice drawings in order: Gila monster, horned lizard, scorpion, tarantula, diamondback, and sidewinder. Attach your rattlesnake notes from 11/16-11/17 to the front. Due Monday!
