| A quick note about Nov 5 language arts homework |
Remember the other day, when you wrote a chart listing specific verbs for run, cry, or talk? Your homework tonight is a follow-up for that. Title: “Specific Verb Practice” ---Write 3 sentences. In each, use a different specific verb from that comp. book chart, and include context clues that relate to the specific meaning of the verb. Example: The ninth-graders gossiped about the latest breakup at CDO. |

Science Day Sentences: Write three sentences about Science Day. Include a compound adjective in each sentence, and underline it. If you did not participate in Science Day, choose another topic to write your sentences about. |

Answers can vary, but be sure that the word you create (and use in your sentences) is actually used as a word! (Check in a dictionary if you aren't sure.) |
