| | Hi, and welcome to my homepage!
This is my seventeenth year teaching, and I can't believe how fast that time has flown! I taught at Keeling Elementary for eight years, and am now in my ninth year at Walker. I knew I wanted to be a teacher from the time I was a very little girl. My grandfather used to talk about how I wanted to play school at the age of three, but I always had to be the teacher!
I grew up in Tucson (one of the very few natives), and graduated from the Univeristy of Arizona. GO WILDCATS!
I became a National Board Certified Teacher (NBCT) in November, 2002! It was a goal I'd had for about six years, and I finally went for it. It was a demanding process, but one that has changed the way I think about teaching. I want all of my students to learn that you can do anything you want to do, if you just set your mind to it! (Even if it comes seven years later.)
We are doing lots of great things this year - including STARBASE, JASON Project and musicals! YAY! Everyone will be a star - whether you prefer to be onstage, or doing the very important jobs behind the scenes.
Come to class with a positive, "can do" attitude! We'll have an AMAZING YEAR! |
