ABOUT THE TEACHER
|
I graduated from Ursuline High School in Santa Rosa, California. I attended the University of Arizona for three years studying early childhood education. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Prescott College in Prescott, Arizona. I've lived in Arizona for 28 years. This is my 18th year teaching at Copper Creek. I have taught Kindergarten, First Grade and now Second Grade. I just love teaching second grade.
My husband Jeff is an engineer at Raytheon Missile System. We have two children, my daughter, Victoria is 15 and my son, Michael is 13 years old. Victoria is a Sophmore at Ironwood Ridege High School. Michael is in 7th grade at Wilson K-8.
Each student that enters into Mrs. Volk's class will have the opportunity to learn and experience new and exciting things. Second grade is a big growth year academically and emotionally. I'm looking forward to working with all the parents to make this a smooth year for everyone. Remember you are welcome in my classroom at any time.
