THIRD GRADE ROCKS!!
TOPICS OF STUDY
* Reading - Comprehension and vocabulary
* Qualities of Good Writing, Transitions, building and stretching the main event
* Avoiding run-on sentences, prefixes
* Math - finding patterns and rules, multipying three factors, multi-step problem solving
* Sound
* Cursive Handwriting




HOMEWORK
Students will have 30 - 40 minutes of homework on Monday - Thursday nights.
*Spelling: Complete one or two pages of the packet each night. Study the words on Thursday night. We will have the test on Friday.
*Math: Please do not work ahead. The worksheets follow the lessons given each day. Keep practicing the addition and subtraction facts!
Study the multiplication facts! We are taking weekly timed tests.

Monday: Finding the rule in patterns
Tuesday: Multiplying three factors
Wednesday: Multi-step problem solving
Thursday: Reviewing Chapter 10

*Reading: Students should read 20 or more minutes each night. Document this nightly reading on the Wranglin' Reader Calendar.
